How it works
You are chartering a boat and its captain, not renting a machine.
Every boat on GlideBlue comes with the professional who runs it. That is not a limitation, it is the whole point: no licence to hold, no deposit against damage you might cause at the helm, no anxiety about a mooring you have never done. You say where you would like to go, and the person who knows that water takes you.
You see the real boat before you book: its photographs, its length, how many it takes, what is on board, and the days it is free. The price is the captain's, for the hours you asked for.
The boats
Four kinds of day, four kinds of boat.
Day cruiser
Open, fast, made for a swim and a lunch at anchor. Usually six to eight people.
Sport boat
For covering distance and pulling a board behind. Shade and a fridge, nothing more.
Flybridge
Two decks, real shade, a proper cabin. The one that works with children or a long day.
Sundeck
Space to lie down, a swim platform, and a crew used to a slow day.

What you are paying for, and what you are not.

- The boat for the hours you booked
- The professional captain, and their commercial insurance
- Fuel for normal use over the booked hours
- Life jackets, and the boat's safety equipment
- A cancellation window, free, written on the booking
Not included
- Food and drink, unless you order it through Galley
- Port and mooring fees at a marina that charges them
- Water toys, unless the listing says otherwise
- Hours beyond the ones you booked, agreed with the captain on the day
- Anything the captain judges unsafe: that decision is always theirs

Before you book a boat.
Can I charter without a captain?
No. Every boat on GlideBlue comes with its professional captain. It is a deliberate choice: it is what keeps the boats insured properly, the passengers covered, and the owners willing to lend what is often their livelihood.
Can I choose where we go?
Yes, within reason and within the weather. Tell the captain what you have in mind in the message before you book; they will tell you honestly whether the boat and the day allow it.
What if I am late?
The hours you booked are the hours the captain blocked. A late start usually means a shorter day, not a later end, because another booking may follow. Tell them as early as you can.
Can we eat on board?
Yes. Bring what you like, or order through Galley and have it brought to the boat at the dock before you leave.
